Installation: less than 10 minutes

1. Run the installer

Before you start, make sure that you have installed on your computer:

  • QuickBooks 2005 or newer, or Enterprise 5.0 or newer.
  • Windows XP, 7, Vista, or Windows server.
Download the installer file and the Quick Install instructions.
  • Close QuickBooks if it is running.
  • Run the download and follow the on-screen steps.
2. Restart QuickBooks


After you start QuickBooks again you will be prompted to authorize the program.
  • Select "Yes, whenever..." and click Continue.
  • Click Yes at the next prompt.
  • When the Access Confirmation dialog opens, click Done.

3. Register

Next an  Activation dialog will open: 

Enter your email address and then click:

  • Activate Trial: Evaluate Ultimate AppendIT for 45 days. 
During the trial the Activation dialog will appear each time you start QuickBooks. To make it go away, purchase or uninstall AppendIT.
  • Activate Full: Purchase Ultimate AppendIT anytime during the trial period

Use AppendIT

When the activating process is finished, a new set of menu items will be created under the Company pull down.

AppendIT has no separate user interface. Open AppendIT folders from this menu or from the PC's desktop. Use drag/drop, Open and Save from any application, or browse with Windows Explorer.

Set up root folders:

Go to AppendIT Settings:


Use the Browse feature to navigate, and select or create new Root Folders. They can be anywhere on your network.

You're done!

Adjust the Create Option Settings after you get a feel for how AppendIT works.
